Local preferences
A display-unit choice may be stored under a key beginning jhb-unit-. Game setup choices use jhb-game-settings-; Daily 5 first-attempt results and streak dates use jhb-daily-. Your analytics choice is stored as jhb_analytics_consent. This state stays on this device, is not account-synchronised and can be removed by clearing the browser’s site data.
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics 4 is used to understand aggregate website usage and improve Just How Big?. It is optional and is loaded only after you accept analytics. Typical first-party cookies include _ga and _ga_CEYES2GCDR. You can reject analytics or change your choice later; rejecting after acceptance disables further measurement and attempts to remove these cookies.
The Google Analytics retention configuration is managed outside this repository and is not stated here. Read Google’s privacy policy. Cloudflare Web Analytics may also be used to understand aggregate traffic and operate the service.
Shared links and hosting
Custom measurements, comparisons and game challenges use the part of a URL after #. A game challenge contains a version, random seed and setup choices, but no answers or score. Ordinary HTTP requests do not send that fragment to the server, though anyone with the complete shared link can read it. The hosting provider handles ordinary requests and may keep operational logs. Private hosting authentication is separate from the atlas.

Any future analytics or advertising integration should update this notice before it runs and provide applicable controls.
